We successfully tendered to be an approved supplier of external windows and doors for Gentoo.  Our first opportunity was to install over 400 properties in a short period of time to assist Gentoo in delivering on promises made to tenants.

What were the Challenges?

The main challenge was mobilising quickly enough to allow us to start on site and complete before the end of the programme.  The installation specification differed slightly from other clients that we have been working with long term.  Progress, quality, and customer satisfaction are also recorded and reported at more frequent intervals.

What did we do?

A Pilot installation was arranged to agree on the finishing standard and specification.  The Site Management team and client surveyor completed an in-depth inspection of the pilot property and used this as a basis to produce a toolbox talk training session for installers to complete all installations defect free.  IT systems were upgraded to allow the site-based team and head office to work more collaboratively and ensure recorded data was accurately reported in line with contractual deadlines.

What was the Outcome?

The scheme was completed with high levels of quality and customer satisfaction recorded by the client.  As a direct result of our performance when delivering the project, we were awarded a further 388 properties in the following financial year and received a personal letter of thank you from Gentoo’s Director of Asset & Sustainability.
